As of May 1st, 2026, Phase B of the digital monitoring of inventory movement will come into effect for all obligated entities.
This new phase is no longer limited solely to the issuance and transmission of the digital delivery document. It now extends to the entire inventory movement cycle, from the initiation of the shipment to the final receipt.
In this context, new obligations are introduced regarding the declaration of loadings, the confirmation of receipt by the recipient, the recording of the quantities received, as well as the reporting of any discrepancies, such as shortages, surpluses, item variations, or damages.
The role of the recipient becomes particularly important, as they are now required to confirm receipt by scanning the QR code of the delivery document, accept or reject the shipment, and, where necessary, transmit the relevant documents or data within the prescribed deadlines.
Phase B substantially changes the operational processes of businesses, as it requires systematic monitoring, control, and documentation of every critical stage of inventory movement.
